The whole structure may be damaged and weakened. This can be prevented when the loose part is restored immediately. You can glue or bond it with a chemical suitable to stick the wicker together.
Most wicker materials can withstand any weather conditions. Because of this characteristic, it is ideal as outdoor furniture. However, most wicker materials are flammable. That is why it should not be placed near fireplace or bonfires.
